Refresher Questions Answered

Expiration date of March 31, 2015

No Change in Level – example Basic EMT to EMT

2015 – May use training hours obtained in 2013 & 2014 till March 31, 2015

Expiration date of March 31, 2015

Change in Level – example Basic FR to EMT

2015 – May use training hours obtain for 2013 & 2014 and you will need a 24 hr basic refresher.

Expiration date is March 31, 2016

2016 – Starts over on January 1, 2014 with training hours and a 24 hr basic refresher

Expiration date of March 31, 2015

Change in Level – example EMT to AEMT

2015 – May use training hours obtain for 2013 & 2014 with a total of 36 hours of continuing education hours plus a 36hr AEMT Refresher.

Expiration date is March 31, 2016

2016 – Starts over on January 1, 2014 with total of 36 hours of continuing education hours and a 36hr AEMT refresher.

*36 HRS - AEMT REFRESHER

*24 HRS – EMT REFRESHER

*16 HRS – EMR REFRESHER

*Hours are not the sole aspect of the refresher contents received.

Note: An Instructor may construct an educational program that allows any refresher to be taught in parts, but the instructor retains the responsibility to validate completion.
